I'm leaving this place.

This will be my last post here unless, of course, I change my mind. I always do that anyway. If you're coming with me, just take my hand and we shall be together again.

Are These J.D. Salinger's Works?

While composing my previous entry, with a promise that I'll be shutting down this pc once I'm through with it, my download in LimeWire completed as well. So, of course, I launched the file. Right, I'm in the habit of downloading files which seem a bit unfamiliar to me.

The name of the file, which is in rich text format, is The Uncollected J.D. Salinger.

The only works of J.D. Salinger I'm familiar with are The Catcher in the Rye, which I read a long time ago, and Nine Stories, which I only got to know through a reliable literary source. Literary source? What a description. Alright, he's an online friend who happens to read a lot more than I do, which means to say that, he knows ten thousand more authors, and their works, than I'm already familiar with.

So what does the 200-page file The Uncollected J.D. Salinger contain? Lots.

A Boy in France
(Saturday Evening Post 217, March, 1945)
A Girl I Knew

A Young Girl in 1941 With No Waist At All

Slight Rebellion Off Madison

Soft Boiled Sergeant

The Hang of It
(Colliers, July, 1941)
The Heart of a Broken Story
(Esquire 16, September, 1941)
The Inverted Forest
(Cosmopolitan, December, 1947)
The Long Debut of Lois Taggett
(Story, September-October, 1942)
The Stranger

The Young Folks
(Story 16, March-April, 1940)
This Sandwich Has No Mayonnaise
(Esquire 24, October 1945)
Blue Melody
(Cosmopolitan, September 1948)
Hapworth 16, 1924
(The New Yorker, June, 1965)

Having no idea what these are, I consulted Mr. Google who led me to The Uncollected Stories of JD Salinger page.

Humwahaha! This feels like I've hit the jackpot.
Being a fool definitely has its advantages.

Oo Na

Treading on Tulips
a gift from Ash
I faltered
on this beautiful field
of dazzling tulips
each fragile bud
gleams with early morning dew
tapping its fullness
against the gentle wind
while sun rays
planting consummate kisses
I walk in its midst
each blossom intones
a lovely serenade
I stood there unmoving
they speak to me
of life's immensity
distinctive voice
hiding timidly in different shade
I hear their murmurs calling me
"come yonder,
and let life pass
swim along its tumultuous course,
in due time you'll see,
how blessed your years will be."
